Flowermug is owned by Jenny Mugford, a florist who loves to find inspiration in the changing seasons and surrounding landscapes.
We create beautiful and meaningful flowers for all occasions, weddings and events. We fill our floral arrangements with gorgeous, seasonal flowers. Based in South Ayrshire, we work throughout Scotland and beyond.
Flowermug’s style celebrates the changing seasons and surrounding landscapes of each occasion or assignment. We love to find the often quiet connections between the flowers, the people and the setting. We take a detailed, unhurried and serious approach to every aspect of our work.
In our opinion flowers should not only look marvelous, but they should also make you feel; they should be full of joy, movement and fragrance.
A CONSIDERED APPROACH
Progress not perfection....
We take a serious and constantly evolving approach when managing our impact on the environment. Some of our sustainable practices include:
No use of floral foam.
Reduce, reuse and recycle ethos taken with each aspect of our work.
We source materials from UK growers and companies as much as possible.
Using recycled and recyclable packaging.
We know we are not perfect, and there are many elements of our practices to be improved. Some of our current goals are:
Sourcing more from Scottish and UK growers through the Winter months.
Reducing use of plastics, especially single use plastics. One recent success was eliminating cable ties from our installations.
